Talk: Gaelic in the Woods [Spinningdale] ...

18 June 2016

Gaelic in the Woods

at Ledmore & Migdale Woods, Spinningdale

We will look at Gaelic names for native plants, including trees, and Highland lore and stories connected to them. Your guide will be Gaelic-speaking journalist, broadcaster and educator Roddy Maclean (Ruairidh MacIlleathain). Come along and learn about the traditional Gaelic understanding of land and nature. The sessions will be conducted largely in English and will be suitable for people who know nothing about the Gaelic language, but Gaelic-speakers and learners (at all stages) are particularly welcome to attend.

FREE and booking is recommended. Bring outdoor clothing.

Choose one of two sessions:
10.30 - 12.30am for families (all ages) or 1.30 – 4pm for adults (+16)

To book a place, contact Juliet on
07810 027556 or ledmoremigdale@woodlandtrust.org.uk

Meet at Torroy car park. From the A949 in Spinningdale, turn onto the minor road sign posted to Migdale. Parking is 0.6 miles on the right (IV24 3AD).
